The St. George Theater

The Capitol Theater

located on the west side of Broadway ,2nd building North from Castleton, the floor
was wooden, and the female usher-matron looked like prison guard from an old gangster movie,
but she had one talent, while patrolling the aisles,
she threw pop corn from the box into the air, and never missed  her mouth.

The Strand ( Actually built on the sand ) between South Beach and Graham Beach
It was located alongside the Grand View Hotel, which became Mays Hotel in the 1930's, as you can see in the photo below
the Mays Hotel turned the Strand Theater into a DANCE HALL

If anyone remembers the St. George Theatre, you will be glad to hear it has been revitalized and is open for business,
it is now a showplace for Broadway quality entertainment, concerts, comedy and much more.
I have personally been to this theater many times and I can say, it rivals many of the theater houses in Manhattan.
